Chilliwack – TEDxChilliwack is hosting a Speaker Search Symposium at Cowork Chilliwack on September 27. The session is being held to help guide potential TEDxChilliwack speakers on what it takes to deliver a powerful and engaging talk. Alumni speakers will give first-hand tips and advice to maintain a confident and captivating presence on stage, while they deliver a talk that captures the audience’s attention. This event is an opportunity for prospective speakers to develop or build on their public speaking skills and to have experienced speakers answer any questions they may have.

The first TEDxChilliwack event took place in 2016. Each year since, the organizing committee has refined and improved on the process of finding, selecting and supporting potential speakers. TEDxChilliwack has attracted dozens of nascent and experienced speakers who have given engaging talks on an array of subjects related to the year’s theme. With this year’s theme, “On Purpose”, TEDxChilliwack will give audiences an elevated experience with top-quality, enthralling speakers and a unique and entertaining event.

The Speaker Search Symposium is the first of several events, which includes three Applicant Showcase Nights in early 2019, that will be held in the lead up to the TEDxChilliwack main event on April 13, 2019 at G.W. Graham Theatre. The Symposium is free to attend for all who may be interested; however, all attendees must reserve their seat at https://www.tedxchilliwack.com/symposium
